I have normal to dry skin that dehydrates very easily, especially in the winter. Over the summer I was put on an acne topical gel that is wreaking havoc on my skin in these cooler months. The gel is mostly ineffective when topped with a moisturizer, and I didn't want to sacrifice hydrated skin to be acne-free, so at the first sign of the flakies I head into Lush. The attendant was very helpful and gave me several samples, this cleanser being one.

It smells a little off-putting, but nothing too terrible. After the first use my skin felt great! The tight feeling was gone and so was the dryness. I was skeptical that the product could really cleanse my skin to the full extent, so I followed up with my sonic skin cleansing brush (not sure if I can write the brand name - it's the popular one!) for the first several uses. There was no leftover makeup on the brush head! I was amazed. Over time my skin has only improved. I haven't had any breakouts, and combined with Full of Grace serum and Skin Drink moisturizer in the A.M., my skin isn't the flaky mess it would be. I'm very pleased with this product, and although the price is a little hard to swallow coming from drugstore cleansers, a little goes a long way. Best of all, it is fast to use and streamlines my night routine.

The only con I can think of is that some people may not like the slightly greasy feeling left afterwards. It sinks in within a few minutes, though. Great product! I will be buying a full size jar soon.

This was my first product that I ordered from LUSH, there is not a store close to me. :( I have rosacea so I have VERY dry/sensitive skin that get really flaky in the winter and tends to be rough. With my old cleanser I would practically have to run out of the shower to apply moisturizer before my face dried out. This is my new everyday favorite. It takes of my makeup (even though I don't wear much to begin with), and leaves my skin supple and soft with no tightness or flakiness. After about a week of using it the roughness was also gone. I don't usually look forward to the somewhat harsh Iowa winters because of my skin issues but it's already starting to get cold and dry and I'm not worried. LOVE IT!! :)

I use this nightly followed by a light exfolient like Angels on Bare Skin, Tea Tree Toner, and then Enzymion mixed with a drop or two of argon oil. I put a light layer all over my face first, then gently work on the eye area. I'm careful not to rub it in, but let it sit on top of my skin. I use 3-4 cotton pads (wash cloths are not ideal bc my bathroom has poor circulation and is prone to mold) to remove. For the eye makeup, I wet a pad in hot water and lightly press into the eye socket then wipe away gently.

This has saved my skin on my honeymoon. The dryness and grossness from airplanes usually causes me to break out big time, but Ultrabland is so gentle I can clean the grime off as many times a day as I need with out stripping my skin. Ultrabland is especially fantastic for travel bc it isn't a liquid (no TSA hassle) and is super easy to do in a teensy airplane bathroom. You could even use it IN your seat if you used a toner instead of water!

I have been using the oil cleansing method for about a year now. My mixture consisted of grape seed, jojoba and castor oil. This worked better than my store bought face wash.

But ultra bland... OMG I love it. I love the consistency. I can feel the dirt being lifted from my face and I can see it on my wash cloth. May be too much info, but that is a good sign. I also like that you don't have to use a lot of the product so it should last a while.

I use it once a day. Usually at night before bed or in the evening. I follow up with the Eau Roma Water and the Celestial (a little goes a long way). I also use the Oatifix face mask.

May face loves this combination. Im completely sold on Lush and love the employee in Philly that helped me and gave me the complimentary facial! It has been a week and my face has all ready shown great improvement. It leaves my face feeling super smooth and well-moisturized.

"Ultra Bland" and I have had a long and happy relationship, and I cannot go without it.
I love the fact that I can apply it dry and remove it with a damp cloth when I'm finished - I don't look like I danced with Shamu when I'm done washing my face. And what's best is my face is actually clean! I go from looking like Heath Ledger as The Joker back to my makeup free self, and my skin looks and feels healthier with each use.
I learned the best way to apply it is to think of it as lip balm for your entire face - you don't take a scoop of lip balm and slather it on your lips, you take a small amount and smooth it in evenly. The product now lasts me a lot longer, works more effectively, and is a better value for the price.

I use this product after I wash my face with Fresh Farm to remove the excess eye make up. I use this all-natural Amazonian clay mascara that has always been a pain to remove even with scrubbing. So now after cleansing I rub some of this good stuff under the eyes and on the lids, spray some toner on a cotton pad and voila, mascara is gone !

This cream is AMAZING!!! If i forgot to wash off my mascara the night before, I use this in the morning and it comes off with ease. You don't even have to use very much. I will continue to buy this product.

I have extremely dry skin, and have tried nearly EVERY cleanser and exfoliater on the market, but still had dry, flaky skin. I walked into Lush for the very first time and the really nice lady recommended I try Ultra Bland.

I was reluctant at first, and asked for a sample to take home with me. After only a day, I was hooked! No more flaky, scaly skin for me! I haven't even had a single pimple while using this product! Thanks Lush!

I was washing with a "natural soap", checking my skin to see that everything washed off, moisturizing with 2 different products (1 for this, 1 for that). Now, this is all of that wrapped up in one phenomenal product. It covers all my needs and my skin feels great, eyes aren't irritated and I'm a contact lens wearer. I think this is amazing!

This does a wonderful job as a make-up remover, and a pretty good job as a cleanser. Since I don't wear very much makeup and my face is pretty well balanced on its own, I don't use this for its original purpose very often.
For this reason, I looked up alternate uses. After trying a few of them out, it would seem that this product is a multi-use miracle product. I use it as lip balm, and have become almost addicted to applying it because it goes on so smooth and my lips love it so much. My son's nose during bad colds, the eczema patches on my wrists, and my dry cuticles love this product.
I am in love with Ultrabland.

I got a small sample of Ultra Bland when I bought a pot of Ocean Salt, because the saleslady said that Ocean Salt was pretty harsh. I'm a teenager with mostly good skin, but when I start to break out, I REALLY break out.

Using a combination of Ocean Salt and Ultra Bland has visibly reduced any blemishes on my skin. My chin is a problem area, and a little Ultra Bland has already started to clear it up and I've only been using it for two days.

The only real con with this product is the fact that I have an issue with lotions and moisturizers-- I absolutely despise the greasy feel they leave behind. The product feels greasy to me. If I were able to keep it on my skin for longer without getting grossed out, I think I would have even fewer issues with my skin. So greasiness is a problem there.

Otherwise, this is great, and I absolutely recommend it to anyone. It has worked better than several commercial, chemical products.

I read many of the reviews online and would echo what others have said about this amazing cleanser. I have used it for about a month now and really started noticing results about 2 weeks in. Other reviewers have said they noticed after a few days, but as everyone's skin is different you should give it some time to let your skin adjust.

I now swear by Ultra Bland and will not be using anything else. I have pretty good skin, but noticed I was starting to break out a lot around my neck...to the point my nephew even pointed out that I had lots of zits! I'm 28 and shouldn't be breaking out like a teenager :( Ultra Bland has cleared up my problem areas. My skin looks radiant and looks more youthful! I no longer wear powder/foundation because my skin looks more even and just glows! It's not messy at all if you read the instructions and use it right. You will love the results.

I had used a few Lush skincare products in the past (AoBS+Enzymion, with the occasional Ocean Salt mixed in), and while that worked well, I hadn't been in love with it. I ran out of my Lush products, and after a couple of months of making due with various odd and ends of my cabinet, I went back to Lush out of desperation, because my skin was totally out of control.

I was surprised when the salesperson recommended this to me, but I thought, why not, I can always return it if it doesn't work. I'll be honest - after using Ultra Bland, removing it with Tea Tree Toner on a cotton swab, followed by Vanishing Cream for one day, ONE DAY, my skin was noticeably brighter and less red, with visibly reduced breakouts. And I am NOT someone who expects overnight results, so I was literally blown away.

I've now been using this for three days, and each day gets better than the next. The excess oil on my skin has reduced (in the middle of summer, no less), the red acne scars are visibly fading, and the acne that remains is significantly diminished.

I do think it's important to note that you have to get ALL of the cleanser off, or your skin will feel oily. I think I didn't realize how much I was stripping my skin of essential oils with harsher products I was using... really looking forward to seeing what this will do over the long haul.

I use this cleanser at night and it works especially well removing makeup. I use a couple dabs all over my face gently rubbing it in, a little goes a long way, and then i remove it with cotton pads and Eau Roma Water toner. I feel if you do not use toner with this product it may feel a little on the greasy side so i would definitely recommend removing it with some type of toner which helps remove the excess oil. I especially love this product because you do not need to use any water! It makes cleansing a lot less messier than splashing water around!

I have overall normal skin with a little sensitivity on my cheeks and this cleanser does an excellent job calming that area as well as keeping my skin balanced. Definitely the best night time cleanser i have ever used and would definitely recommend it!

I work in a theater company, so I have tons of stage makeup on most nights and often have to do full makeup changes mid-show. At the end of the night, I was using several different products to get off eye and heavy pancake makeup. My skin was really angry and constantly breaking out and itching. This product has worked wonders for me. I just use a warm damp flat cotton pad and all of my makeup comes off easily without scrubbing. My face looked so much healthier many of the other cast members started using this as well. Thanks for the awesome product LUSH!!!

Ultrabland has been wonderful for my face. I use it in the evening, rubbing a pea or two sized dollop all over my face. I splash my face with warm water, or hold a warm damp rag over my face for a few seconds, dry it a bit and then use a gentle toner on cotton wool to wipe all of my makeup and the dirtiness away.

It's an expensive combination to get a toner and this cleanser from Lush, but for sensitive dry skin it's the best combination I've found. I've been using it about a month and it's absolutely outstanding!

I bought this product after talking to a sales rep a few days ago and decided to give it a try. I have mostly oily, but sometimes combination skin, and very acne prone (especially around a certain time of month). I already use dark angels and LOVE it, but I didn't want to use it twice a day, so I was looking for something to use at night that would take off my makeup and also work as a cleanser.

I have used UB three times since then. I was concerned the first time I used it because it felt incredibly oily, and for someone who needs to use oil blotting sheets 2-3 times a day, that is a problem. I broke out the next day as well. I think the reason for this was because I didn't know how to use it properly, so I just rubbed some on (too much, I'm sure), and then attempted to rinse it off with just my hands and water. The result was greasy feeling skin that broke out.

I wasn't ready to write it off after one use though. So last night and tonight I used a smaller amount and gently "buffed" it out with a warm, damp washcloth, and followed with tea tree water on a cotton ball and a tiny, tiny amount of Celestial (might nix that tomorrow though). I gotta say, there was no makeup residue whatsoever on the cotton ball, not even eye makeup. And even though my skin still feels slightly greasy, it's certainly much softer and the breakout I had seems to be clearing up a little (still have the usual amount of acne though).

I'll try this for at least two weeks before making a final verdict.

I was looking for a cleanser that would easily remove my long wearing make-up and this MELTS IT AWAY! and a little goes a long way! I use less than a quarter size and rub it all over my face, then wipe it away. I also use the Roma water Toner and Grease Lightning for my acne. I have acne prone skin and rosacea, and since using Lush products, even my rosacea has improved and my skin is suple!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lush!!!

I was in a store in Atlantic City and asked a Lush employee about a cleanser. She put a little bit on one hand and then washed it off and it felt amazing. The skin on my left hand literally glowed and felt so "new." I was sold. I actually bought it as a cleanser but the girl said it's amazing at makeup removal. I have to say that I have been hooked on this product for over 6 months now. My skin has literally changed. I have dry skin. I just put a little bit of this one and wash it off with a damp towel. I don't wear must make up (just a little mascara and sometimes eyeliner) and it comes off instantly. Some reviewers said that it didn't work as a makeup remover. I guess if you wear maybe a lot of makeup and cake it on, you could have some issues. However, mine came right off. I don't even NEED to moisturize. My skin has a "glow" and I've even had people comment on it the first few weeks I started using it. I LOVE THIS STUFF.

The ONLY way I could see you not liking this product is if you have VERY oily skin. Then it could be a little too much.
