I love this solid shampoo because Karma is my all time favourite scent. It was so refreshing to hop in the shower and be filled with the aroma of oranges and patcholli. It lathers extremely well and cleans hair great too. However, after about 4 months of using this, when it was half way finished, it started to become a jelly substance, causing me to throw it out. I did have a great four months with it though!

I have dreaklocks (locs) and almost turned away from this product for two reasons: it's a detangler and it's a solid! Well, I wanted the entire line of Karma so I went ahead and tried it. To my surprise, it didn't have an adverse effect on my locs AND it worked perfectly! I loved the way it made my hair smell and feel. The only suggestion I would make, ...if you purchase this wonderful shampoo, buy a Lush tin for it as well!

In an effort to offset my hair coloring (with chemicals, not henna) and heat-styling--I have been working on training my hair to go longer in-between washes. Previously, I was using Rehab shampoo, which I loved--but I'm always on the prowl for something new. And, I'm a sucker for anything that makes your hair smell good.

Enter: Karma Komba.

First of all, if you do not like the smell of patchouli, do not get this shampoo! I happen to like it, as it brings back happy memories, so it doesn't bother me. But if that is not your cup of tea, than do not even bother. I style my hair with R&B to smooth my ends, and the combination of jasmine and patchouli is actually really nice.

Second, my hair texture is very fine, but very very thick. And I do only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. So I appreciate the fact it cleanses thoroughly, but does not leave your hair feeling stripped. (I actually find it more gentle than Rehab.) What is particularly nice about the solid shampoo is that you can part your hair and apply the shampoo directly to your roots--this is much more difficult with liquid shampoo.

How I use this is: I thoroughly soak/wet my entire head, divide my hair into four sections and part. I run the shampoo bar down the dividing lines of the sections and around my hairline, lathering thoroughly while scrubbing it in, at the ROOTS, not towards the ends. Then, as I am rinsing from my hair, it cleanses the rest of the shaft, without drying it.

I found this left my hair clean without feeling stripped and my hair stayed clean (without being dry) FOR FIVE DAYS. Seriously? Awesome. Granted, this may be atypical results because I am training my hair, but Rehab normally leaves my hair clean feeling for about three days, sometimes four, before I start feeling greasy and gross.

Plus, supplementing with dry shampoo--I was able to make my clean hair last a whole week. Can't say enough good things about this product. At this price, it's worth trying--and it lasts you forever.

Words cannot merely describe my love and devotion for this product. I have terribly oily hair and used to wake up each morning looking like a greaseball, THEN I discovered this little gem. This shampoo creates the most effective, luxurious lather I've ever experienced and CLEANS hardcore!! The smell is light and sweet, and with the patchouli a little exotic. It literately takes 3 swipes on my scalp for a great lather so it lasts months. I'll never be able to use a liquid shampoo again, I hate them now! ALSO- something I realized while traveling through airport security- it's not a liquid so it saves me tons of space for other stuff in that quart size bag! DON'T EVER TAKE THIS SHAMPOO FROM ME- I WILL CRY!!!!

I have been using this shampoo for 3 years and love it. It lathers well and gets my hair squeaky clean. It is great for traveling because it is solid and can be stored in carry-on luggage. You will get more use out of the bar if you let it air dry between uses. I do not store mine in the case most of the time. At home, I leave it on a soap tray away from the shower head so it can dry out. When I travel I usually take it out of the shower and store it in the lid of the case (while leaving the case open). This results in months of use making this a good value!

When I bought this at the LUSH store, I had never heard of solid shampoos and was skeptical on how effective they were. I smelled this one and thought it smelled amazing so I decided to try it with the Jungle conditioner. I LOVE THIS STUFF! It lathers really well in addition to rinsing clean without residue. I have fairly fine hair that gets greasy easily but it has been less greasy and combs easier than with commercial shampoo. Plus, my boyfriend loves the way the smell lingers lightly in the bathroom. It smells fruity and fresh to me. The only thing to be careful about it keeping it dry between showers. I usually rinse/shake it off then put it on the lid of my metal travel case so it's easier to pick up next time (shorter rim). I've had my bar for months; it lasts way longer than normal shampoo!

My mom came home with this solid shampoo, and I immediately fell in love with the smell. I wasn't sure how I'd like a solid shampoo, but it was AMAZING! My hair feels awesome after using it! I absolutely adore it.

This was the first Lush product I ever tried and I've been addicted to this stuff ever since. I love the way this lathers - I don't have to use much at all, and I have long, thick hair. I've been using the same bar for almost two months now, much longer than I've been able to use a bottled shampoo.
The smell is amazing, it's really great for early morning showers because it wakes me up without being too strong.
The best part is how easily it detangles long hair. I don't have to use conditioner with this and my hair stays soft and naturally wavy.

How my hair responded: This solid shampoo basically did what any other ordinary drug-store shampoo like Pantene or Garnier would do. I bought it because I had never tried shampoo in solid form. It cleaned my hair and it smelled good to me, but nothing special. I did not notice extra shine that I would not otherwise get from average shampoos. This could be because of the weather but I felt like my hair got slightly frizzier while using this. HOWEVER, my biggest concern is that it made such a mess. I put it in a little container and the product expanded or something because of the water I guess so it started breaking up and every time I wanted to wash my hair I had to massage little bits of the product between my hands so that I would get a lather.

I absolutely love this. I bought it today and have used it once (in conjuction with a little jungle and a little veganese) and I'm already hooked, I know it. The smell reminds me of my favorite store (Zebop) at my family's annual vacation spot, and I can't get enough of it. Like someone else mentioned, I wish the smell was actually stronger! It probably would be if I used it by itself. My hair is fine but here's a lot of it, and it's fairly wavy and notoriously tangly with a dash of frizziness. With this, it's less frizzy, and much less tangly, as well as shiny and healthy-looking. I also have purple streaks, and this didn't seem to strip the dye out at all. I'm a huge fan, and I have a feeling there will b much more of this shampoo in my future. I'd recommend Lush's solid shampoos to anyone. =]

I have fallen in loooove with this product. I was really curious to try Lush solid shampoos for a while, but with an impending trip and not wanting to deal with TSA telling me to dump out my shampoos (nor dealing with possible liquid spills en route) I decided to hit up my local Lush shop to get solid shampoo and conditioner-- and now I can't turn back, flight or no flight! I LOVE the way this lathers onto my hair, I find it's seriously richer than bottled shampoos. I was a little skeptical that it might not get my hair clean enough, but it sure did. People were commenting on how shiny and sweet-smelling my hair was, and I don't like the Karma soap but for some reason I love how it smells in this shampoo bar. I'd like to try other shampoo bars but I think this one's my favorite.

Karma was the first solid shampoo I used from LUSH, I made the mistake of changing over to Shiny, which got my hair clean but left me with dry scalp! I immediately switched back to Karma and to this day cannot figure out WHAT I was thinking. Why try to fix something that isn't broken?

Karma lathers beautifully and smells great. It gets my super thick hair clean with minimal effort, and leaves it nearly tangle free. I only have to use conditioner about once a week with Karma, and then only if I've done a lot of straightening. My hair is full of body, so the last thing i want is a volumizer, Karma just does it's job and doesn't try to over-step its boundaries.

Karma Komba solid shampoo is one of the best things to ever happen to me. It smells amazing, and is very easy to use(just glide on and lather up) and is green. If you get this product, I would recommend getting a solid shampoo tin at lush, too, it makes storing this so much easier.

The only bad-ish thing I would say about this product is that it leaves your hair smelling of karma for a while. I love the smell, but if you work in a scent-free place, it may be problematic.

This shampoo bar is AWESOME!!! First time trying solid shampoos and I am hooked! One thing I love is that since it's solid, you can spread it very evenly through your hair, unlike liquid shampoos which don't always spread well. And the Karma scent is definitely a favorite! Will use again and again!

I never used a solid Shampoo before this one, but I don't think I'll ever go back to the old way of washing my hair!

The smell is so wonderful, its like walking into a aromatherapy sanctuary. It helps with getting the tangles out, but its not the best product for softness/smoothness.

Nonetheless, i will probably purchase this product again.

I love, love, LOVE this product. At first I was skeptical about the solid shampoo bars after trying "Seanik", which I felt left my hair oily and flat.

A couple months later I got "Karma Komba" in my Christmas stocking and fell in love. I have a stash of five or six extras under my sink at all times - it's my must-have product. Nothing smells so amazing, makes your hair (and I have pretty oily hair) clean and shiny all day long, and detangles as wonderfully as Karma Komba.

I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and everyone. I will never go back to regular shampoo.

This is the second Lush bar that i've used (following Seanik). It smells pretty good, it cleans and lathers well (i have pretty straight, fine, non-oily hair), but i'm not sure i notice a difference in volume, shine, etc. I'm going to keep using it and see how it goes, but as of now, I'd still prefer the Seanik for the shampoo bars. The bars are really convenient though, especially for traveling -- and they definitely last a long time. Overall Lush shampoos, BIG is my favorite.

I love, love, love the way this smells! I was surprised at how well it lathered, I have extremely thick curly hair, and I was able to get a nice lather all the way down to my scalp. It cleans really well, maybe almost to well, I just make sure to use a nice conditioner. I plan on making more purchases with the Karma scent.
