Amazing product, reminds me of the products from the dead sea. A little goes a long way, use as facial cleanser once a week, the rest of the week I use Herbalism cleanser it is a bit gentler and helps with my adult acne, and I use Ocean salt about 3 times a week in the shower, amazing product that makes your skin truly soft. Only use a very small amount, had mine for 6 month!!!!

My boyfriend got me this product along with the other two for Christmas! I only have used them once so far but when I woke up this morning my skin was very smooth and my pores on my cheeks look smaller. It is a bit rougher than many exfolients out there but I personally wanted somthing that was. I wouldnt recommend for anyone who has sensitive skin that has been irritated in the past by other exfolients that they found to be too rough. But if you have oily or combination skin and want to see your skin "glow" I think this is a good product to use I also highly recommend the BOFA toner and Enzmion moisturizer because I think thats what contributed to the very soft skin I experienced in the morning. These products smell great and I love the integrity of the products and company!

This definitely gets your skin clean! Continuous use will get rid of any body acne you have and leave healthy, glowing skin in its place.
DO NOT use this on your face every day, once a week does the trick for me. (Oily T-Zone)

I recommend a light moisturizer with it if you're using it on your face.

This product is a great cleanser. I got a sample at first and tries it and fell in love. After using it my face felt so smooth and clean. It removes oil and dead cells and even though it gets int my mouth when i use it sometimes.....it tastes great as well!!!!

I love it leaves a great feeling , it smells okay not as good as it can be. Also here's a tip never rub it around to fast I did it and got a small scratch from the salt , don't use on sensitive skin as though it is very rough,

This helped my face tremendously. I have dry and acne prone skin with some scars. This gets rid of the dry patches and clears out my pores. I was given a sample of this on my first visit to Lush, and I was so impressed with the way my skin looked after using it that I figured I would buy it! I'm so glad I did! My skin is acne free and glows. It also feels and looks healthier. The only down side is its messy...the salt gets all over my sink area. But I don't care....cause this an AMAZING product!

Great product! I use it on my face. I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin as it burns when left on a bit, but my skin was noticably smoother after one use! After about 3 uses (3 times a week, not daily), there was a noticable difference in the appearance on my tiny bumps!

After washing this off I licked my lips, and wanted a fruity mix drink... then I read the ingredients and realized it was made with vodka. I have never wanted to EAT my face soap before...

It took me a really long time to try this, mostly because it seemed a little over-blown & it seemed too coarse/harsh to put on my sensitive skin. I have combination skin, with constant breakouts on my face and often flaky-dry skin around my nose.

Normally my skin has a few pimples, and it gets worse around that time of the month. Upon using this product, I noticed clearer skin right away - I am 30, and this has NEVER happened since high school! Recently, I lost track of the days because while my hormones were going nuts, I did not have any breakouts... amazing.

I learned to not scrub too much because the salt IS really coarse, but I actually press it into my skin gently & let the salt do its thing. I also learned to follow it quickly with 9 to 5, and/or straight jojoba oil, because it does irritate my skin if I don't moisturize right away. But once I got the handle of it, my skin has been very happy. I would recommend this to anyone.

This is the only product that I have found that gets rid of your blackheads! For that i have to give as many stars as i can. However, I can't believe I haven't read any reviews about how the salt burns the skin. I have to scrub it quickly and then rinse it off fast cause it burns! It also incredibly drying. So for these reasons it's pretty disappointing because I wanted this to be my must-have product.

I have dry to normal skin, and I find that I have to exfoliate a few times a week to banish those pesky dry patches. I ran out of the exfoliator I've been using for years, and decided to try something new, so I ordered this (my first lush product EVER!) and I'm so glad I did! I just take a small amount, in the shower, and gently scrub and this stuff just does its magic!
The smell is great, the texture is rough perfect (not to rough, not to soft), and this has helped get rid of the little bit of acne that hangs around my nose and the dry patches along my jaw. My skin has never looked more even!
I will say that when I use this, my skin does feel a bit dry, but once I moisturize, everything is good!
I haven't used this on my body yet, but I'm sure it would work wonders there as well!

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery took exactly one week, everything arrived in good shape, and I really appreciated that it was packed in the smallest box it would fit it. I always hate when companies use huge cardboard boxes for something small; so wasteful. I did not use customer service for this order.

I was not prepared for how much this product would sting, but I really should have assumed - given the fact that it's SALT. Any small blemish on my skin was set on fire when using this. Plus, I wasn't aware of how coarse it was. My skin was very flushed when I was done.

However, I love this for my knees, elbows and smoothing my hands. The smell is very refreshing and it lasts a long time.

Im a 30 year mother. I have battled acne as well as scalp psoriasis for 15+ years. As a teen I was able to use all those over the counter acne medications that dry your skin out beyond belief. As an adult my skin has changed drastically. I still suffer from acne. My adult acne is much harder to treat than my teen acne. Ive always been self conscious of my acne as well as the red marks left behind from previous breakouts. I have been for crsytal peels, as well as diamond peels. for a while my face was doing really well. Just recently it started really breaking out badly. As stated above, I also suffer from psoriasis of the scalp. On occasion a spot of psoriasis will break out elsewhere. Usually it only stays temporarily (unlike my scalp). About a month I broke out in a pretty large patch of psoriasis on my forehead. I assumed it would go away at some point. Weeks went by and it was only getting worse and worse. after many hours of googling I came up with Lush ocean salt. I have seen many reviews stating it helped with eczema, so I figured why not give it a shot for psoriasis. After looking at the price I was a little hesitant, so I got a free sample. After ONE, yes ONE night of scrubbing my face with it. My psoriasis spot completely vanished! An added bonus I noticed it made my acne look a lil better. I have been using it for about a week now and my acne is gone, psoriasis spot on my face still gone, and ive even noticed my red past acne marks are fading. I have always hated washing my face and always wished that I was one of those people that DIDNT have to wash their face nightly. I look forward to scrubbing my face with this cleanser every night. I use it every night. Some people say its too harsh, but it hasnt been too harsh for my skin. I wash with cetaphil face wash. Then rub the ocean salt all over my face and scrub gently with warm water and a cosmetic sponge. I use cetpahil lotion following the scrub and head to bed. This is my FAVORITE product EVER!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!! Im still using my sample thats how little you actually need, but I plan to go buy the biggest tub known to man kind when my sample runs out! Im new to lush. This was my first product to try ever. Im now interested in trying the Recon for my scalp! I also plan on switching from cetaphil to something made by lush. Im in love!!!!!!!!LUSH-You did awesome with this product. Dont ever stop making it. i cant say enough great things!

I don't know why it took me so long to try Ocean Salt, but I'm glad I finally did. My skin was glowing after just one use! When I added it to my daily skincare routine (9 to 5, Coalface, Tea Tree Toner, Imperialis) my skin looked and felt SO much better.

This was a splurge while on vacation in the UK. I really wanted to like this scrub given its reputation. I have given it multiple chances to redeem itself...but every time I use it, I have several zits the next day (I otherwise have consistently clear skin). Additionally, the salt is too coarse; the first time I used it I had small scratches all over my face (I was not scrubbing that hard, either). Later attempts, I scrubbed as softly as I could and still felt like I was getting mauled. Literal "salt in the wound" doesn't exactly make it feel better. I am down to using it only for my hands and feet, but would not purchase it again for either.

I have really oily skin and had yet to anything that keep me looking clean and fresh. I use the sea salt scrub everyday and have amazing results. I have had almost no breakouts and my skin looks fresh and oil free. I would absolutely recommend anyone with oily skin try this product. So happy I tried it!!!

So I have been using this scrub since June, not daily as it is too harsh a scrub to use daily, and so far I love it. It leaves skin feeling clean and soft and if you get it on your lips it tastes like a margerita! Now to be fair I should describe my skin type, I have normal/combination skin and only break out around that time of the month or when I am really stressed so I cannot recommend this to someone attempting to clear up oily skin. However I have had my mother try it (who unfortunately has a bit of adult acne and rather oily skin) and she said it made her skin feel super soft and clean! Since I used this I haven't broken out at all even though the semester just started and I am really stressed, will certainly be buying a new pot of this when mine runs out.
