This is my first time trying any Lush product. I have thick, "Asian-straight" hair almost to my hips. I have never used any heat on my hair save for special occasions such as weddings and my prom. I had a lot of hair, and I was tired of it eventually lying flat a few hours after it air dried. I decided to look at Lush because my friend uses its products and her hair always has great volume--then again, she has a completely different hair texture which is naturally more coarse and dry than mine is. She also has no experience with Seanik or Big (she doesn't need either).
As soon as I bought Seanik, I cleaned my bathroom and took a shower. The next day, I had some compliments on how great my hair looked. The salesladies at Lush also sold me a sample of R&B to use instead of conditioner so my hair wouldn't be weighed down. I wasn't worried about my hair drying out because it had always been soft and shiny without being oily. Another thing I love about Seanik is the sea salt doesn't bother my extremely sensitive skin, even in the fluctuating weather. My skin dried out after using Seanik in my hair, but I followed up with an intensive moisturizer as I usually do and things seemed fine.
My problems began when my boyfriend noticed my hair wasn't as soft or shiny, even though I hadn't washed my hair since the night before. I guess I didn't notice it myself because I was too excited at finally having the volume I'd been wanting for so long. After doing some research (and common-sensical thinking), I realized that the sea salt which gives Seanik its volumizing powers also can really strip hair of moisture (as in, osmosis).

Now, I don't really know what to do. My hair looks great--and it's definitely lighter from not being bogged down by chemicals. My sensitive skin loves Seanik... oddly, my hair shafts themselves are being a little more difficult. Since my hair is so thick, R&B isn't doing a good enough job of completely rehydrating my hair. I don't want to have to sacrifice volume for moisture or vice versa. Help, Lush!

All I've ever wanted in a shampoo was one that didn't make my already fine and thin hair look even more fine and thin. I wanted a shampoo that didn't let my hair get greasy after 12 hours. In fact, I was so fed up and so convinced that shampoo was the culprit in my woes and not my hair itself that I gave up shampoo altogether and did a popular "No Poo" program for about 2 months. I washed with baking soda and conditioned with apple cider vinegar. The results, though long-awaited, were spectacular. But I missed the smells of shampoo and the results were often inconsistent.

So, I took what I saw as a middle ground: a solid, mostly-natural, mostly-organic shampoo. And I've found my hair savior in Seanik.

It gives me the hair I've always wanted: voluminous, shiny, clean, VOLUMINOUS. And it smells really great, in my opinion. AND most of all, it kept my hair clean for 2 days. I am a daily hair washer and Seanik gave me the freedom of washing only every other day.

In other words, if you believe the hype about how bad shampoo is for your hair and your health (you should, because it's the truth), but still want a shampoo experience, Seanik is your gal :)

This is probably my favorite shampoo bar. I've only had this for almost a week and I can already feel and see the difference. My hair is much more shinier (in the good way) and very soft.

I like to try as many Lush shampoos as possible and this is so far my favorite. I have thin, stringy hair and this stuff whipped it into shape. It gave it shine and it gave it volume. Furthermore, I noticed my hair dye lasted longer with this shampoo than others. And this shampoo bar lasted me about a year. So, I highly recommend this if you have thin and awful hair like mine.

I am so in love with this product! My hair is not easy to deal with. The ends are dry while the roots are greasy. The hair on the back of the head is thick and straight while the hair on my bangs and side is thin and curly. The first solid shampoo I used was Godiva, but I found that while it smells nice, it dried my hair out. So I tried Seanik next, and it does everything that it promises to do! My hair has more volume (not too much; just enough), it has more shine, and it is so soft! It also lathers up really well; I only need to rub it around my head a couple of times and my hair is covered in bubbles. Another pro is that it smells great. I've had my puck for about three weeks now and it still looks as good as new; I have a feeling that its going to last a long time. I don't think that this shampoo could get any better! Thank you Lush for making such a great product!

I have very oily hair, and other shampoos would work for about half the day, but I would have to put my hair up in the middle of the day because it would get so gross. With Seanik, I use it in the morning and my hair stays fluffy and soft all day long! I love the light, ocean-y scent, and so does my husband. He loves running his fingers through my soft hair, and I love the fact that it doesn't tangle or get super oily. Thanks Lush!

I found a LUSH store for the first time while on vacation in Hawaii and I am not addicted to this solid shampoo as well as the solid conditioner. I have tried a million products on my hair, which is thin and usually flat. I love this bar, it leaves my hair smelling like a spa for the entire day! I have my husband and friends always commenting on how great my hair smells. It also leaves my hair feeling extremely clean and light. I never realized how much product other shampoos were leaving behind on my hair making it feel heavy. I recommend this bar to everyone!!! Try the conditioner too!

YESSSS! I have finally found my LUSH hair soul-mate. I've used Godiva and NEW!, and both worked well, but didn't do much for volume. Seanik brings out the layers in my medium-short piecey haircut like a charm. It is lightweight, smells wonderful, and it lathers just enough. I use it with a few strokes of Jungle Solid Conditioner, and the scents go so well together. If you have razor-cut hair and want to bring out the layers, this shampoo may do the trick!

Seanik was the first solid shampoo I tried, and I absolutely love it! It leaves my slightly oily hair clean and soft. I color my hair regularly which leaves it dry, so I use a conditioner with it. It has a clean, fresh scent that I really like. I have tried several others, but this is my favorite Lush product.

I love using this shampoo after I have been swimming. I feel it really cleans my hair of the chlorine. It gives my hair extra volume after blow drying it. Gives a quick, thick lather and nice fragrance.

I purchased Seanik primarily for travel - one less thing to leak in my luggage, and a good way to limit my liquids for carry-on-only airplane travel. The first time I used it, I brought Seanik and American Cream to use every other day, alternating with another brand shampoo/conditioner set. Although I was a bit skeptical after the first use, it definitely grew on me over the course of my 12-day trip. For another summer vacation when I only had carry-on luggage, I brought Seanik and the solid Jungle conditioner as my only shampoo/conditioner, and by the end of my 5-day trip my hair felt really dried-out; I think Seanik is too harsh and Jungle insufficiently moisturizing for daily use, but I think it definitely works as an every-other-day shampoo, and it certainly is great for travel. My one caveat - if you are traveling with it, you are probably using some sort of case; I brought the Lush shampoo tin. If you do not rinse out both the tin and the Seanik bar and dry them thoroughly every couple days, the bar sticks and becomes difficult to get out.

I love this shampoo puck. The very first shampoo I ever bought was Big, which I love, but it was hard to travel with (and I travel A LOT for work), so I saw that Seanik had similar ingredients and it smelled nice. It works great! I use it every other day with a conditioner and my hair looks, feels and smells really good. It is second only to Gentil Lentil, which I use on the off days (it isn't technically a 'puck', just a block of solid shampoo)

This is my first LUSH product, and I was very excited to use it and ended up falling in love. The scent is fantastic, it lathered up almost immediately, and I don't believe my hair ever felt cleaner in my life. But a few weeks after using it daily, I noticed the product began to reduce to a gel-like consistency. If you remove it from the shower and let some of the moisture evaporate, it remains gel-like. However, on one occasion I forgot to do this and I ended up with bits of seaweed in a soapy liquid. It was so messy, I ended up having to pour the rest of the container over my head so I wouldn't have to worry about it. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants clean-feeling hair, but if the idea of blue liquid potentially spilling everywhere is unappealing, this is not for you.

This is my first Lush solid shampoo, I waited a while before finally trying one out because I wasn't sure which one would be best for me. I was worried that it would dry out my hair and then I would be stuck with a 10 dollar shampoo that I would never use but this one has be convinced. If you live near a Lush store then I highly recommend you go and talk to some of the people who work there because they are knowledgeable and use the products themselves so they can tell you their first hand experiences with the products. This shampoo lathered really well, I only needed a few passes through my hair before I had more than enough bubbles to scrub down. I don't usually use conditioner and with Seanik I still had great shine when it dried. Don't be put off by the seaweed, i thought it would be in huge pieces and globs but there are only a few small 1/4 inch slivers of it through out the bar. The lady at the store also told me that it would last between 80 to 100 washes and my friend with waist length hair said that it lasts her about a month.

This was the first product I ever bought from Lush and I was a little reluctant to try solid shampoo, but my friend convinced me and I've had nothing but great results. Seriously, Seanik has really been great, especially because I have naturally oily hair and it really does thoroughly clean my hair which I didn't get with bottled shampoos. Plus, it smells amazing.
Also, I was worried that I'd use too much and it would finish quickly, but I followed the directions they gave me at the store, and it's lasting a really long time (still have half left and I've been using it for 2 months!)
