Adopting a green lifestyle doesn’t necessarily mean having to jeopardize creature comforts. Here at LUSH we pride ourselves on offering lovely, effective products made from the finest natural ingredients that aren’t tested on animals in any way, shape or form. We are also pioneering to make all of our products solid, which allows us to cut down on preservatives and packaging – which means less waste heading to the landfill. Now, on top of all this, Lush has created a new fragrance, Go Green, to encourage people to adopt a greener lifestyle.

The inspiration behind Go Green is leading environmental activist Rebecca Lush, who now works for Transport 2000 heading up Road Block. Rebecca hasn’t flown since 2002 and enjoys traveling by train and cycling wherever she can. A manic recycler, she buys organic and Fair Trade wherever possible. Go Green was designed for everyone like Rebecca, it’s completely vegan and contains calming earthy vetivert and sandalwood oil, and a citric blend of grapefruit, bergamot and neroli oils to keep you fresh and smelling lovely even after cycling to a meeting, walking to work or being packed in on the subway.

Go green Solid Perfume
Create your own green aura with this enticingly fresh fragrance. Containing no preservatives and minimally packaged in a recycled aluminum tin, the solid base comprises of Fair Trade cocoa butter, Japan wax and Carnauba wax, which all allow ease of application, and softening Jojoba oil that helps to hold the fragrance. Rub onto skin for long lasting fragrance and deep moisturization.

Squeaky Green is extremely special because it is free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. LUSH has developed a new base for its shampoo bars, Sodium Coco-Sulphate, which is still in needle form to give the same appearance, but is much milder and softer on the scalp. Extremely gentle on the hair, it gives lovely shine and fragrance. Rosemary helps to alleviate dandruff and promote hair growth, along with improving hair quality and scalp health; Peppermint helps to stimulate the hair follicles; Chamomile blue oil is soothing for itchy or flaky scalp conditions and vanilla absolute and rose absolute make for a gorgeous fragrance.

The Greench deodorant
This powerful, antibacterial green¬-odorant powder contains essential oils such as thyme oil, tea tree oil and benzoin to help stop odors from forming. Powdered rosemary is antibacterial and helps to fight bacteria and regulate oil secretions, so it actively helps to stop you sweating. A non-aerosol deodorant, this absorbent powder base is encased in a giant muslin bag, which releases just enough onto your skin. This is yet another inventive green initiative from Lush on how to cut down on excess packaging.
